Massachusetts Federation of Republican Women - Local Clubs
Lower Cape Cod Women's Republican Club
Activities
The Lower Cape Cod Women's Activities Club currently has a membership of 60 and meets the first Friday each month (excluding July and August) for lunch at Cape restaurants. A speaker is featured including local and state Republican leaders and candidates. December's meeting is a holiday social event at 5pm on the 2nd. For further information, or to be included in our mailings, contact Joanne McAteer or call 508.790.9383.
LCCWRC actively supports Emerson House and Mary LeClair House in Falmouth. These residences are part of Gosnold drug rehabilitation center and house 30 women who have been through Gosnold's program and now need further help with job training, housing, and adjustment to a new sober living environment. A special house is available for mothers and babies. At all LCCWRC meetings members donate baby clothing and supplies. Christmas meetings are especially fruitful for Emerson House babies.
Providing books for Cape elementary schools and libraries is another project of our club. Member donations are always appreciated and presented to school and library representatives.
The goal of LCCWRC is to support Local, State, and Federal Republican candidates running for office. On off-election years, we have fund raising events, increase our membership and offer speaking platforms for those interested in Republican Party ideals.
Election years are spent supporting candidates with funding, lots of volunteer hours and encouragement.
